His Story

Vernon Dupree started his professional career in 1978. His passion for culinary started at very young age. He credits his mother for teaching him the basics of cooking from her own culinary experience. Vernon is an AWARD WINNING Chef. The awards include Taste of Soul for Best Entree and Best Dessert (3 Times), National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc. Delaware Chapter Annual Gentlemen Cook Off Tastiest Award/Taste of Soul Award for his Macaroni & Cheese, Collard Greens & Lump Crab Cakes.Verns Catering derived from a history of restaurants formally known as DND Restaurant & Bakery, Hey Verns, Heavens Touch and Blue Ribbon Catering by Vern was established in 1988.
